I already have a website. Why would I need a new one?

It depends on what you want your website to do for you. The days of having a home page and a page with your phone number on it are long gone. Websites need to do three things, which we call: 'ACT'. Your site needs to Attract visitors (through Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing). It needs to Convert visitors into customers using a professional design that makes them feel confident in doing business with you. And it needs to Track the activity of your sites visitors through reporting. If your site does all of those things, then you don't need a new one. But if you are not getting everything you can out of your site, then it may be time to revisit the work you have done in the past. Give us a call at (800) 399-9859 or contact us through our online form and we'll be happy to discuss all your web design needs.

Do you use website templates?

In a word: No. There are a lot of places out there that do, and we understand the appeal. But we believe that a one of a kind design will set you apart from your competitors, and ensure that you are not a 'cookie cutter' website. People make judgments about your company from looking at your website. Because of that, our primary goals are to make sure your site looks professional, is easy to use, and stands out in a crowd. Give us a call at (800) 399-9859 or contact us through our online form and we'll be happy to discuss all your web design needs.

What content do you need from me in order to start my website?

The best place to start when deciding what to include in your website is to look at what you are producing now in print and sales presentations. Although your target audience has a different experience online than offline, you want to make sure that your message and information is consistent in both media. Get together everything you currently show to prospective clients - all your print materials, including brochures, catalogs, advertisements, sell sheets, sales letters and direct mailers. The more you can give us the better we will understand what you want to say. Additionally, talk with your Industrial Web Solutions representative about your goals for your website. If you do not have much print material or you don't have a catalog, that's no problem. We offer content development services including copywriting and acquiring digital images to make sure your website is effective. Give us a call at (800) 399-9859 or contact us through our online form and we'll be happy to discuss all your web design needs.

What is organic search or natural search?

Basically speaking, organic or natural search refers to search results listings that are not paid inclusion but are actually generated by the search engine in response to a query made by a person. Search engines want to list, in order of relevance, the web pages that match closest to the search query typed by the person looking for something. Each search engine has its own proprietary algorithm to determine the relevancy of your web page content. In plain English, that means people out there want what you offer and if you rank high in the organic listings they are more likely to find you. The way to increase your chances of ranking high organically is to prepare your web pages for the search engines with search engine optimization. What is PageRank™ and how does it affect organic search ranking?

PageRank™ is Google's metric for determining the value of a web page by the number of links coming into it (inbound links). Google uses this metric as part of its formula for determining which pages get to be listed in the top ten spots, for example, on Google's search engine results page (SERP).

PageRank™ also considers the PageRank™ value of the inbound link. Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory have high PageRank™. If a person clicks through to your web page from your Yahoo! Directory listing, for example, your PageRank™ has the potential to increase. If you can increase your PageRank™ to 6 or better you are likely to achieve good organic listing positions on the Google SERPs. Through search engine optimization and link building you can achieve a higher PageRank™ that can lead to better rankings within Google.

What is paid inclusion?

A good way to boost your importance in the search engines, and create the conditions to rank higher in the organic search engine results, is to receive clicks on your listing within a paid inclusion directory. Paid inclusion refers to the opportunity to pay a fee to a search engine directory for the opportunity to have your listing reviewed by the directory's human editor and hopefully accepted for inclusion in the directory. This is not the same as the search engine's web directory. Receiving clicks from a search directory helps to improve overall search engine ranking. Search engine directory submission is highly recommended to help you rank better organically in the search engines.

But with Pay per Click, you are putting your advertisement in front of people who are looking for your products and services at that time.
